All students are normally admitted through Entrance Examination conducted by the College for each academic year, in addition to possessing the minimum entry requirement. Candidates may also be required to present themselves for interviews, aptitude tests or written examinations where applicable at the College in addition to his being successful at the entrance examination. Candidates attaining the requisite marks for their areas of study are offered letters of admission by the College, which entitle them to register. The marks vary with disciplines and from year to year depending on the general level of performance by candidates in each given year. Prospective candidates are advised to read carefully the College brochure, which outlines the special requirements of each discipline that must be met before they are allowed to register and thereafter matriculate. In general, every matriculates must have obtained require GCE/SSCE/WACE/NECO and obtained in not more than two sittings. The College is open to all candidates irrespective of race, sex, and place of birth, religion and political affiliation. Candidate below 16 years of age is not eligible for admission. The College also admits into years II and III students of good academic standing from other similar institutions where there are vacancies and the courses of study that they have previously pursued do not deviate radically from those of the College.

Matriculation

The matriculation ceremony signifies the formal acceptance of the new students to the College. All new students are required to take the matriculation oath and sign the matriculation register. Nobody may claim to be a student of the College until he/she has completed all matriculation formalities.

Guidance and Counseling

An orientation programme for new students is organised to familiarize them with the campus. Each new student is given The Counseling Unit’s Orientation Booklet which contains valuable information about the College. The College Counseling Centre, which is under the Student Affairs Department, provides free services to both staff and students. The services are designed to help the individuals concerned to overcome their socio-economic, educational and interpersonal problems.

Cancellation of Admission

Student who gained admission into any of the College Programmes without the minimum entry requirements or through fraudulent means shall be required to withdraw from the College and his/her admission cancelled anytime the anomaly is discovered.
